Loan Settings & Terms
Loan Settings control the terms & conditions employees must accept, who reviews and approves loan requests, and the eligibility guidance. These apply company-wide.
Where to find it›Loans›Loan Types›Loan Settings (/account/loan-settings).
Permission note: Requires the Manage Loan Settings permission.
Terms & Conditions
The terms are shown to every employee when they apply, and a copy is frozen onto their signed agreement (so later edits never change an already-signed loan).
- Edit the terms in the rich-text editor (the same editor used elsewhere in the app).
- Click Browse Templates to preview and load a ready-made, brand-neutral policy — Standard, Detailed or Salary Advance. Loading a template replaces the editor content; review and Save.
- You can freely edit the loaded text or write your own.
Approver / Notification
Decide who receives each loan request and can approve or reject it:
| Option | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Specific Employee(s) | Choose one or more people (e.g. HR staff). They are notified of each request and may act on it. |
| Department | Choose a department — its members are notified and may act. |
Company admins can always approve, regardless of this setting. If no approver is configured, requests fall back to the company admins.
Eligibility (advisory)
These rules produce warnings only — they help the approver decide but do not block an employee from submitting:
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Signature Required | If Yes, employees must draw a signature to submit, and it appears on the signed agreement. |
| Minimum Service (months) | Warns if the employee hasn't completed this much service. |
| Maximum Loans per Year | Warns if the employee already has this many active/approved loans this calendar year. |
| Exclude employees on probation | Flags probationary employees. |
