GDPR Settings
GDPR Settings help your company meet data-protection obligations toward your Contacts and prospects. From one master switch you can enable a set of GDPR features: showing privacy links, letting people request their data or its deletion, capturing consent, and reviewing the consent and removal requests you receive.
Enabling GDPR
At the top of the page there is a master toggle.
- Open Settings sidebar > GDPR Settings.
- Turn on Enable GDPR. The page reloads and reveals the GDPR tabs below the toggle.
- Turn it off at any time to hide all GDPR features again.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enable GDPR | Master switch. When on, the GDPR tabs and public-facing GDPR features become available. When off, none of the GDPR features are shown. |
Once enabled, the settings are split across the tabs below. Each settings tab has its own Save button.

Permission note
GDPR Settings is controlled by the manage_gdpr_setting permission. A user needs this permission set to "all" (or a Contact role) to open the page and manage these settings.
Tips
- Nothing GDPR-related is shown to your Contacts until you turn on the master Enable GDPR switch.
- Fill in your Terms and Condition and Privacy and Policy text before enabling the links that point to them, so visitors do not land on empty pages.
- Review the Removal Requests tabs regularly. Approving a removal request permanently deletes the related record, so confirm before approving.
- Define clear, plainly worded consent purposes in Consent Lists so people understand exactly what they are agreeing to.
- Each settings tab saves independently, so remember to click Save on every tab you change.
