What it shows
The report consists of two summary cards and one comparison chart. There is no table on this report, and no export button.
Summary cards
| Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Total Earnings | Total income in the period — taken from completed payments. |
| Total Expenses | Total expenses in the period — taken from approved expenses. |
Chart
A single chart plots two series by date:
- Income (blue) – completed payments.
- Expense (red) – approved expenses.
This lets you see, day by day, when income outpaced spending and vice versa.
How to use it
- Open Reports → Income vs Expense Report. It defaults to the current month through today.
- Set the Duration using the date range picker (labelled Date Range).
- The two cards and the chart refresh automatically.
- Click Clear Filters to reset the date range.

| Duration | The date range to compare. This is the only filter on this report. |
Tips
- Only completed payments count as income and only approved expenses count as spending, so the figures reflect confirmed money movements rather than pending ones.
- For a detailed breakdown of either side, use the Finance Report for income and the Expense Report for spending — both of which support exporting.
