Attendance Report
The Attendance Report summarizes each employee's attendance over a date range — how many days they were present or absent, hours clocked, days late, half-days, and any extra days worked.
Permission required: Your role must have View Attendance Report set to All.
How to use it
- Open Reports → Attendance Report. It defaults to the current month through today.
- Set the Duration using the date range picker (labelled Date Range).
- Optionally choose an Employee, or leave it on All.
- Click Clear Filters to reset.

Monthly attendance grid (print/PDF view)
BusinessHRM can also present attendance as a monthly grid — one column per day of the month with a weekday letter, and a total column. This grid uses a simple legend:
| Symbol | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✓ | Present |
| ✗ | Absent |
| ★ | Holiday |
| L | Leave |
The grid view also shows summary rows such as Total Days, Days Present, Total Absent, Total Leave, and Total Half Day Leave, followed by a per-employee absence summary. This format is designed for printing or exporting a clean monthly attendance sheet.
Tips
- Hours Clocked reflects actual time recorded, so it is a good cross-check against the Time Log Report.
- A high Days Late count for a particular employee may point to a shift-timing or schedule issue worth reviewing in Attendance Settings.
