Sign Up Settings
Sign Up Settings control the public sign-up experience. From here you decide whether people who register must agree to your terms and conditions, and you provide the link to those terms that is shown on the sign-up screen.
Where to find it›Sign Up Setting
Configuring the sign-up form
The page is a single form. Set the option you want and click Save.
Show (or hide) the terms agreement
- Open Settings sidebar > Sign Up Setting.
- Turn the Show Sign Up Terms switch on to require agreement to your terms during sign-up. Turning it on reveals the terms link field.
- Enter the link to your terms and conditions page.
- Click Save.
Turn the switch off to remove the terms requirement; the terms link is cleared when you save with the switch off.
Fields
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show Sign Up Terms | When on, the sign-up screen shows a terms-and-conditions agreement and the terms link field appears here. When off, no terms agreement is shown and the link is cleared on save. |
| Terms link | The web address of your terms and conditions page. Shown only when Show Sign Up Terms is on; required in that case. The link is presented to people signing up. |
Permission note
Sign Up Settings is controlled by the manage_company_setting permission. A user needs this permission set to "all" to view or change these settings.
Tips
- Host your terms and conditions on a stable, publicly reachable page, then paste that full URL (including https://) into the Terms link field.
- If you turn Show Sign Up Terms off, the saved link is removed, so you will need to re-enter it if you turn the requirement back on later.
- Requiring agreement to terms at sign-up is a simple way to record that new users accepted your policies.
