Google Calendar Settings
Google Calendar Settings let your company connect a Google account so that BusinessHRM activity can be pushed to your Google Calendar. Once connected, you can choose which kinds of records (leaves, invoices, tasks, events, and more) create calendar entries.
This page only appears when the Google Calendar integration has been enabled for the platform. If it is not enabled, the menu item is hidden.
Connecting your Google Calendar
The page has a Status switch, a connect/verify action, and a list of record types to sync.
Turn the integration on and connect
- Open Settings sidebar > Google Calendar Setting.
- Turn on the Status checkbox. This reveals the connection area and the notification options.
- Click Save.
- Click Verify to start the Google sign-in flow. Sign in with the Google account whose calendar you want to use and grant access.
- After verification succeeds, the page shows the connected account.
Disconnect your Google Calendar
- On the same page, click Disable.
- Confirm in the pop-up. This removes the stored Google connection for your company.
Status field
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Status | Turns the Google Calendar integration on or off for your company. The connect button and sync options appear only when this is on. |
Note: the Google API client ID and client secret are configured at the platform level by the system administrator, not here. As a company admin you only turn the integration on and connect your own Google account; you do not enter API keys.
Choosing what syncs
When the integration is on and you have the right permission, a notification panel lists the record types that can be pushed to your calendar. Tick the ones you want and click Save.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Leads | When checked, lead-related entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
| Leaves | When checked, leave entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
| Invoices | When checked, invoice-related entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
| Contracts | When checked, contract-related entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
| Tasks | When checked, task entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
| Events | When checked, event entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
| Holiday | When checked, holiday entries are added to your Google Calendar. |
Permission note
Google Calendar Settings is controlled by the manage_google_calendar_setting permission. A user needs this permission set to "all" to connect the calendar and choose what syncs. The sync-options panel is shown only to non-super-admin users who hold this permission.
Tips
- Turn the Status on and Save first, then use Verify to complete the Google sign-in. The Verify button only appears once the integration is active and configured.
- Connect a calendar that the right people can see, since everything you enable will appear there.
- Enable only the record types you actually want on the calendar to avoid clutter.
- If you change Google accounts, use Disable to disconnect first, then verify again with the new account.
- If you do not see this menu item at all, the integration has not been enabled for the platform; contact your provider.
