Sales Report

The Sales Report lists every paid invoice for the selected period, broken down by taxable value, discount, the amount paid, and a separate column for each tax applied. It is ideal for reconciling sales, preparing tax summaries, and reviewing payments by bank account.

Where to find itReportsSales Report

Permission required: Your role must have View Sales Report set to All.

How to use it

  1. Open Reports → Sales Report. It defaults to the current month through today.
  2. Set the Duration using the date range picker (labelled Date Range). This filters on the payment date.
  3. Optionally choose a Client (contact), or leave it on All.
  4. Click Clear Filters to reset.

Filters

Filter What it does
Duration The date range, based on when payments were received.
Client A single contact, or All. (The label may read "Client" — this means your Contacts.)

Columns

Column Meaning
# Row number.
Paid On The payment date.
Invoice Number The invoice reference.
Client Name The contact who paid.
Invoice Value The total value of the invoice.
Amount Paid The amount actually received.
Taxable Value The portion of the invoice that is taxable.
Discount Any discount applied.
(one column per tax) A separate column for each tax in your system, showing the tax amount charged.
Bank Account The bank account the payment was received into.

The tax columns are dynamic: BusinessHRM adds one column for every tax you have configured under Tax Settings, so you see exactly how much of each tax was collected.

Export

Click Export Excel to download the report as an .xlsx file (available if your role can export data).

Tips

  • Because each tax has its own column, the Sales Report is the easiest place to produce a per-tax collection summary for accounting.
  • The report is driven by payments, so an invoice only appears once it has been paid (within the selected date range).
