Skills
Skills are the keyword tags you attach to jobs and applicants — things like "PHP", "Project Management" or "Figma". They power the skill requirements on a job, the skills a candidate lists when applying, and the skill filters in your Candidate Database. This article covers maintaining the skills list.
The page lives at /account/job-skills.
What a skill is
A skill is simply a name. There are no other fields. You build up a list of the skills you hire for, then select them on jobs and applications.
Adding skills
You can add several skills at once.
- Open → Skills and click Add Skills.
- Enter a Skill Name.
- Click Add More to add extra rows, entering one skill name per row. (Use the Delete link on a row to remove it.)
- Click Save.
Note: Skill names must be unique. If you enter a name that already exists, you'll see "Skill name already exist." If you type the same name twice in one go, you'll see "Skill name can not be same." Empty rows are ignored.
Editing and deleting
- Edit: Use the row's action menu and choose Edit to rename a skill.
- Delete: Choose Delete on the row (you'll be asked to confirm). You can also tick several skills and use Select Action → Delete to remove them in bulk.
The Skills list
The list shows each skill's Name with a search box and a Clear Filters reset. There's also an import button for loading skills in bulk.
Where skills are used
- On a job: the Skills field on the job form is required — pick the skills the role needs. You can add a brand-new skill inline from the job form without leaving it.
- On an application: candidates select their skills when they apply, and you can tag skills on an applicant card.
- In the Candidate Database: skills carry over when an application is archived, so you can filter your candidate archive by skill. See 08 - Candidate Database.
Tip: Build out your common skills before posting jobs — it makes posting faster and keeps your tags consistent for filtering and reporting.
