Project Files
The Files tab keeps all of a project's documents and links in one place — briefs, designs, contracts, references, and anything else the team needs.
Where to find it›Projects, then click the Files tab.
How to upload a file
- Open the project and go to the Files tab.
- Click Upload File.
- Drag and drop one or more files into the upload area, or click to browse.
- The files upload automatically and appear as cards.
You can also attach files while creating a project, in the Other Details section of the new-project form.
How to add an external link
Instead of uploading a file, you can store a link to a file held elsewhere (for example, a shared drive). Use the link option in the Files tab to save an external link in place of an upload.
Working with files
Each file card has a menu with these actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| View | Opens images in a lightbox preview, or opens other file types in a new tab. |
| Download | Downloads the file. |
| Delete | Removes the file from the project. |
Permissions
| Permission | Controls |
|---|---|
| View project files | Whether you can see the Files tab. With "added" scope you only see files you uploaded. |
| Add project files | Whether you can upload files or add links. |
| Delete project files | Whether you can delete files. With "added" scope you can only delete your own. |
Tips
- Upload several files at once by dropping them together — uploads run in parallel.
- File size and allowed file types follow your company's upload settings; if a file is rejected, check with your administrator about the limits.
- Use external links for very large files to avoid storing duplicates.
