Notice Board

The Notice Board lets you broadcast announcements to your employees or your contacts. You choose the audience, optionally narrow it to a department or specific people, attach files, and track who has read each notice.

Where to find it

  • Sidebar → Notice Board

The Notices module must be enabled and your role needs View Notice permission.

How to post a notice

  1. Go to Notice Board and click Add New Notice (visible if you have add permission).
  2. Complete the Notice Details form.
  3. Save.

Notice fields

Field Meaning Required
Audience (To Employees / To Contacts) Who the notice is for. To Employees is selected by default; To Contacts appears when the Contacts module is on. Choose one
Notice Heading The title of the notice. Yes
Department Narrow the audience to one department; choosing a department reloads the employee list to that department's members. No
Select Employee (Audience = Employees) The specific employees to notify, with a Select-All option. Yes (in the form)
Select Client (Audience = Contacts) The specific contacts to notify. Yes (in the form)
Notice Details The rich-text body of the notice; supports @-mentions. No
Add File One or more attachments. No

There is no separate date field — the notice is dated by when you post it, shown in the list.

Choosing who sees a notice

  1. Pick To Employees or To Contacts.
  2. Optionally choose a Department to filter the list of selectable people.
  3. Select the specific recipients in the multi-select (use Select-All to choose everyone in the list).

Only the chosen recipients (matching the audience type and your view permission) can see the notice.

Read tracking

Open a notice to see the targeted employees / contacts and a read / unread breakdown. When a recipient opens the notice it is marked as read for them, so you can see who has and has not seen it.

Permission notes

Notice permissions are scoped (All / Added / Owned / Both / None):

  • View Notice — see the board.
  • Add Notice — post notices.
  • Edit Notice / Delete Notice — manage notices you can access (bulk delete requires All).

Tips

  • Use Department to quickly target one team, then Select-All within it.
  • Attach reference files (policies, forms) directly to the notice.
  • Check the read tracking on important notices to follow up with anyone who has not read them.
